Painted by Uri Eldan – Hamsa, Artist, was born in Morocco in 1950, then moved to a town called Kadoorie which is a youth village, established in 1933, located at the foot of the Biblical Mt Tabor, Israel. His artwork is characterized as colorful and joyful painting on a Hamsa. The Hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middle East and North Africa and commonly used in jewelry and wall hangings. Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the Hamsa is believed by some, predominantly Muslims, Jews and Catholics, to provide defense against the evil eye.
